Make the first phase usable.
Configure what the phase includes. Set up the agreed applications, users and approvals. Leave unused applications out until there is a reason to add them.
Move the records that matter. Products, customers, opening balances and open orders need a check. A full history is a separate decision, not an assumption.
Rehearse with the team. Run a quotation, a stock movement or an invoice with the people who will do it after go-live. Fix the gaps that rehearsal finds.
Go live with a known list. Agree the day, the data freeze and who answers questions in the first week. The list of remaining work should be visible.
